As we head toward the heart of the Holiday season, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is honoring those celebrities that have given back to children in need.
Celebrity news reporter and Emmy Winner Mario Lopez is set to MC the 4th Annual Wishing Well Winter Gala on Wednesday, December 7 at the Hollywood Palladium and Good Celebrity is looking forward to being there on the red carpet!
Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle will present his friend and fellow Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. with the Shining Star Award for his work in granting the wishes of dozens of children around the world. Downey Jr. and Cheadle are frequent co-stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe having worked together on the films Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.
Downey Jr. resurrected his career when he donned the Iron Man suit for the first time in 2008 but his heroic deeds extend beyond the silver screen and Make-A-Wish is taking notice.
The actor won’t be the only celebrity honored during the event. Entertainment industry entrepreneur Scooter Braun will receive the Humanitarian Award for his years of dedicated volunteer work for the organization and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League will take home the Power of a Wish Award. Former team captain and Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille will be on hand to accept the award.
In addition, Grammy-nominated artist Tori Kelly and X Ambassadors will perform during the event which gets underway at 7pm.
