I’m seeing stars, I’m freaking out.
Those were likely the thoughts of many of the fans in attendance at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night.
No, the recently reeling Dodgers weren’t involved in a stressful game of America’s pastime, but they were playing on the field, albeit with paddles.
It was the sixth annual Clayton Kershaw Charity Event known as “Ping Pong 4 Purpose,” and featured not only the Dodgers players and coaches, but some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities, athletes, reality stars, and musicians.
Matthew McConaughey, Jamie Foxx, Bryan Cranston, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Eric Stonestreet, Justin Hartley, Kunal Nayyar, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Josh Henderson, Tyler Toffoli, Oscar De La Hoya, James Worthy, Marcellus Wiley and more, were all in attendance to help raise money for the three-time Cy Young Award winners charity known as Kershaw’s Challenge.

The annual event raises funds that help organizations that assist vulnerable and at-risk children. This year, Kershaw’s Challenge chose the Dream Center and just keep livin’ foundation programs in the Los Angeles area as beneficiaries.
The just keep livin’ foundation is Matthew and Camila McConaughey’s charity as the couple partnered up with Clayton and Ellen Kershaw to help many local students at Fremont High School in Los Angeles who are in need.
“That’s where the money is going, to the Dream Center, which I think is really cool,” said Kershaw during an introduction for the event. “There’s a lot of kids there that will have a playground to play on, which is awesome.

Kershaw predicted he would win the event this year after he had been unable to participate in the tournament the past few years with various back injuries. He was partnered with catcher Austin Barnes, but the duo fell in the semifials.
A father son duo, who donated money to participate in the event, ended up taking home the crown this year, and the title of best ping-pong players for Kershaw’s Challenge.
