Nick Cannon is taking a break after having to check in to the hospital this Wednesday for exhaustion. The singer/TV show host has explained previously that he tends to push it to the limit, always wanting to give his best and he took to Instagram to say just that. “Don’t worry, temporary pit stop… Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground. I be wanting to grind nonstop but the engine can’t run on fumes. On the low though, I really think I’m a super hero… Now I’m not saying I’m Batma, but I am saying nobody has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together. LOL #I’mGood.”
While hosting America’s Got Talent, he also balances many other hosting jobs as well as producing jobs but unfortunately for Cannon, this isn’t the first health issue he’s dealt with. Back in 2011, he was hospitalized shortly after his Christmas vacation for acute kidney failure. The diagnosis was the result of an autoimmune disease found by his doctors, which caused Cannon to be hospitalized yet again months after to be treated for blood clots found in his lungs.
Nick Cannon has worked with a multitude of charities, including: Alzheimer’s Association, Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, A Place Called Home, DoSomething.org, Get Schooled Foundation, Reality Cares, and STOMP Out Bullying. As the honorary national chair of The Kindey Walk for the National Kidney Foundation, Cannon has dedicated a mass amount of time and money to raise awareness and support the fight against kidney disease.
