In September 2016, country star Luke Bryan told Ellen DeGeneres he instituted a “no butt-touching” rule after his rabid fan base got a little handsy during his meet-and-greets.
However, the “Country Girl” singer waived his policy for one lucky fan before his concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday July 21.
88-year-old Frances Stanaway is a long-time country music fan and counts Bryan as one of her favorite crooners.
“I like the way he keeps up with his music. I like all the songs,” she told KSHB41 Action News.
A terminally ill resident at Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care in nearby Chesterfield, Stanaway got the treat of her life when she posed with Bryan and he allowed Frances (who was wearing a custom shirt proclaiming “Shake It of Me, Luke!”) to place her hands on his bum.

The meet-and-greet was set up by Bryan and Crossroads as part of the facilities “Gift of a Day” program.
“To see her face when he walked in, with her wide eyes, and knowing she was having an amazing time, that’s what makes it all worthwhile,” said Gift of a Day Coordinator Tracy Bunch.
Stanaway’s night was only just beginning, as she also got to attend the concert and hear all of her favorite tunes, live.
“This is probably the most excited she’s been for six to seven months,” her son, Vincent Sokolaski told KSHB41 Action News, while her daughter-in-law Linda Sokolaski added, “We’re excited for her because she used to love country so much before she went to the nursing home. She doesn’t get to experience it much more.”
