Lending her star power to a great cause, Sophia Bush teamed up with Omaze, Glamour magazine and The Girl Project to create an ultimate experience for one lucky fan. The Chicago PD actress is preparing to walk the red carpet at the mag’s 2015 Women of the Year Awards in November and she’s bringing one fan and their friend with her through the journey in New York City.

Hopefuls can enter to win this Big Apple experience by donating $10 to The Girl Project. Donations benefit the organization and provide entrants with 100 chances to attend the empowering awards. The Girl Project launched in 2014 and is led by the Glamour team. This collaboration between the mag, CARE USA, Plan International USA, Girls Inc. and Communities in Schools raises funds to help girls around the world attend secondary school.

“This is a project that really fires on all of Glamour’s cylinders,” Cindi Leive, Glamour’s editor in chief, told New York Times. “It’s appealing to our readers. It makes a difference in the world and it’s appealing to our marketing partners.” Leive told the Times that the mag was inspired to start this organization after news broke about the kidnapping of Nigerian girls from their schools in 2014 and learning about the state of damaged schools in Gaza. Judy Vredenburgh, President and Chief Executive of Girls Inc., said that she is thrilled to have the backing of such a popular publication with more than 20 millions readers to bring attention to this important cause.

“I think they know that their audience is wanting to pay it forward,” she told the Times. In addition to the $10 donation and chance to walk the red carpet with Bush, Glamour is offering up many options to assist the more than 50 million girls aged 12 to 18 that lack an opportunity to receive a formal education.
For a $25 donation, entrants receive 250 chances to win the opportunity with Bush and receive a thank you video from the star. Visit www.omaze.com for this and other incredible and beneficial experiences.
