Guilty or not of following them, the reality is new work out and fitness trends emerge almost daily. Whether it’s a new shake, a new piece of equipment or a new class to take, there always seems to be something we need catching up on.
SoulCycle has become all the rage with a multitude of celebrity attendees, and because of the star studded attendance, many of us have attempted the killer work out in the hopes that we can spend an hour sweating next to George Clooney. However, if you’re taking these classes often, it may be in your favor to find a cheaper alternative unless you’re sporting a Kardashian sized bank account. SoulCycle is currently $34 for each class, not including any extras you may add onto that such as water or a shoe rental. Class packages are not available at this business, so if you’re taking three classes a week for a month, your fee (just with the class fee), is already at $408.
A new studio, CycleBar, is one with many similarities to SoulCycle, but won’t hurt your wallet quite as much. If trendy fitness is your thing, you may want to look into businesses like this one instead. Class rates are $18-$20 and a variety of class packages are available to choose from. In addition, the business is doing so well that it is expanding with new locations such as Nashville, Austin, Atlanta, Washington DC and San Francisco. An extra 100 locations are expected to be added on to that by 2016, so if at the moment you don’t have one nearby, that may just be changing within the year.
