As Professor X in the X-Men movies, Sir Patrick Stewart welcomed mutants of all walks of life into his school for gifted youngsters. In real-life, the good celebrity is lending a helping hand to four-legged friends.
On March 8, Stewart posted a video to his Facebook page of himself welcoming a pit bull named Ginger into his home. “Thanks to ASPCA and Wags and Walks, Sunny Ozell and I are finally fostering our 1st pitbull!” Stewart wrote, while adding “I’m in LOVE.”

Stewart, who is currently promoting his final appearance as Charles Xavier in Logan, recently spoke with Conan O’Brien about his new role as foster dad to Ginger.
“She comes from a pit bull fighting ring. She was a breeding dog for a fighting ring,” Stewart said. “But now she’s with us, but we are only fostering her and we are looking for a permanent home for her,” he added.
Stewart promised that more social media videos would follow and in subsequent days he melted hearts with his posts of he and Ginger bonding.
