In June 2016, Christina Grimmie’s life was tragically taken while signing autographs outside a theater in Orlando, Florida. As time goes by, the hearts of those that were lucky enough to know her still hurt.
Despite the pain, the talented singer’s family is making it their mission to celebrate Grimmie’s life and wonderful voice.
On what would have been the singer’s 23rd birthday earlier this month, the family released a brand new music video for Christina’s single “Invisible.”
Last year, Good Celebrity hosted “The Voice” star in our headquarters. Grimmie gave us a live performance of her single “With Love” and chatted with us about her charity work.
Christina’s performance was nothing short of amazing. In-between takes, she’d joke around and try different versions and melodies of her songs.
In fact, on a whim she decided to play her song “With Love” in a completely different key than she ever had before. The version above was ultimately the performance we published, unique and 100% original, and a truly special gift from Christina to Good Celebrity.
I’ll never forget it, and am so thankful to have experienced her talent up close and SO personally. Her incredible music filled every inch of our space.
Her family’s unique tribute was a testament to her creative side. Christina loved video games, as you can tell by her YouTube channel name, “zeldaxlove64.”
In the music video, Christina is recreated as an animated superhero.
Christina’s brother Marcus Grimmie, who accompanied her to the studio when she visited us, wrote about his sister on Instagram when the video was released and said, “I know you would love this sis.”
He shared another tribute to his sis on her birthday, posting a photo of the pair performing together.

In addition, the magazine Tremblay honored Grimmie with a tribute edition 10 months after her death.
“I am so honored that I was able to work with her for what little time we had,” video producer Kurt Hugo Schneider writes for his tribute. “We were able to make something that people enjoy.”

“Christina was one of the most genuine people I’ve known, she was such a sweetheart and was so beloved by everyone. What you saw was what you got. I am happy that she will live on.”
