ASTR rocked the house by performing on the left grand staircase, their set including top hits from their newly-dropped EP Homecoming and debut EP Varsity such as “Bleeding Love,” “Get So High,” and “Operate.”

Partygoers included a roster of music’s next generation of executives and influencers, as well as hot millennial talent including R&B/soul artist Daley, America’s Next Top Model finalist  reality star Cyrene Tankard, actress Farrah Krenek, and more.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation tapped its Young Benefactors youth board to host its inaugural Snowcoming winter gala, raising more than $35K to fund an entire instrument program for a local school.

The ticketed event took place at the iconic New York Public Library on Friday, December 4 and was headlined by electro R&B duo (and fellow New Yorkers) ASTR.

Snowcoming was born from the idea of simply wanting to throw an interesting holiday party to thank VH1 STM’s Young Benefactors. The idea soon became a collaborative, millennial-inspired effort to host a gala thrown by and toasting music’s next generation of influencers, while allowing partygoers to give back to music in a way that’s authentic to the current generation.

In 2015 alone, VH1 Save The Music donated 1,305 instruments to schools impacting 3,900 students and securing 53 teacher jobs.

Since 1997, VH1 Save The Music has brought more than $52 million total worth of instruments to 1,964 public schools in 233 districts around the country.
