In May, Jimmy Kimmel broke into tears while revealing the complications his son, Billy faced shortly after he came into the world on April 21. Now, Kimmel is all smiles – or should we say, Billy is all smiles – in a new pic posted by the talk show host.
Kimmel gave his fans a treat heading into the weekend with a selfie of his sweet boy (who, by the way, shares his famous father’s looks) along with the caption, “Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support.”

But that wasn’t the only image of Billy gracing Twitter timelines. Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, also snapped a pic of her striped-clad son.

In their tweets, Kimmel and McNearney also urged followers to call their respective Congressional representatives and ask them to protect health care coverage. It was a reiterated message from his emotional monologue months earlier.
“Let’s stop with the nonsense. This isn’t football. There are no teams. We are the team. It’s the United States. Don’t let their partisan squabbles divide us on something every decent person wants. We need to take care of each other,” he said last spring.
During that same monologue, Kimmel told his audience of the scary ordeal in which Billy was diagnosed with a heart defect and needed surgery.
“It’s hard to explain,” Kimmel said, “but basically the pulmonary valve was completely blocked, and he has a hole in the wall between the left and right sides of his heart.”
The surgery went well and Billy is now a healthy and happy three-month-old baby.
