Whether you like him as an athlete or not, there’s no denying Tim Tebow is one of the ultimate good guys in all of sports.
The former NFL quarterback (who’s currently drawing HUGE crowds as a minor league baseball player for the New York Mets), performed his latest good deed on The Tonight Show.
While visiting with host Jimmy Fallon, Tebow spoke about his foundation’s Night to Shine event.
“Night to Shine is a worldwide prom for people with special needs,” Tebow said.
“The Friday before Valentine’s Day, at the same time, all around the world, in every state, this past year in 11 countries, over 375 locations at one time…kids with special needs are being celebrated, they’re walking down red carpets, they’re being cheered for and it’s my favorite night of the year,” he added.
Tebow, who never attended his high school prom due to his athletic commitments, revealed that he was invited to attend the Night to Shine in New York City but, just like when he was a teenager, he couldn’t make it. However, this time he had something up his sleeve.
“We invited her mom here today, and she is here, and I am here and so, Judy Adams, I was wondering if maybe I could have a dance?” Tebow said.
Adams then joined Tebow on the Tonight Show set for a slow dance while her mom watched on in tears.
Tebow is currently promoting his book, Know Who You Are: Live Like it Matters, which hit bookshelves on May 16th.
