Donald Trump ran his presidential campaign on a series of promises to the American people. Whether or not he’ll accomplish all of them remains to be seen, but comedian Steve Harvey believes the President is already keeping his word on an issue close to his heart.
Before he took office, Mr. Trump met with the Family Feud host at Trump Tower in New York City to discuss the issue of impoverished communities in America and the role of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in helping those areas. Shortly after their meeting, Harvey shared his experience on Twitter.

In a street interview posted by TMZ on April 19, Harvey was asked his opinion on President Trump’s performance over the first three months of his presidency and if he’s lived up to his expectations.
After an initial chuckle, Harvey said: “As far as doing what he promised me he’d do, he’s doing it.”
“I’m working with HUD. I’m going to get some housing for underprivileged people. We’re going to set up some centers around the country. I’ve met with HUD. It’s going really well. God willing, it’ll work out,” he added.
When pressed, Harvey stopped short of giving the President his full approval but did add “All I said was he’s keeping his word to what he said he would do.”
Harvey also said he’s working with Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson.
