The Star Wars franchise is a money-making force in Hollywood and a force for good in the charity universe. Omaze is once again partnering with Lucasfilm and “Star Wars: Force for Change” to give fans unprecedented access to the saga.
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the release of the original film, the charity organization, and the production company launched “Star Wars Past Present and Future.” The campaign offers fans one of three unique adventures into the Star Wars realm.
Private Screening at Skywalker Ranch
The only thing better than revisiting Star Wars: A New Hope is experiencing it on the big screen at Skywalker Ranch. Two lucky fans get a private screening of the film, a VIP tour, and an overnight stay at the ranch. Past and present Star Wars stars Mark Hamill, and Daisy Ridley announced the contest.
Set Visit to Han Solo Movie
In a video for Omaze, veteran Star Wars actor Warwick Davis revealed this behind-the-scenes experience to the new Han Solo prequel film, which includes a meeting with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller and a chance to appear in the picture.
Attend World Premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The eighth installment in the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and two fans will have the opportunity to attend the world premiere of the film and mingle with the cast at the after-party.
For a Good Cause
As is the case with all of the Omaze fundraising campaigns, proceeds will go towards helping charities. In the case of “Star Wars: Force for Change,” entry donations go towards the kids, benefitting UNICEF and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The partnership between UNICEF and “Force for Change” has resulted in more than $9 million in funds raised and the lives of over 30,000 children saved over the past three years.
Starlight Children’s Foundation is a new beneficiary of the “Force for Change,” receiving a $1 million grant from the charity to support programs at hospitals, clinics, and camps. According to its website, Starlight has helped “more than 60 million critically, chronically and terminally ill children in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.”
Donations for “Star Wars Past, Present and Future” contests start at $10 with gifts awarded at each monetary level. Fans can enter the contest until May 11, 2017.
