Through her music, Taylor Swift relates to the lives of tweens, teens, twentysomethings and, apparently, nonagenarians.
Over the holiday weekend, the country crooner-turned-pop star surprised 96-year-old Porter at a family gathering in New Madrid, Missouri.

Porter is a huge fan of Swift’s music and has seen her twice in concert (in Memphis and St. Louis) and his adoration of the singer has brought him closer to his many grandchildren.
“Look what she does… she puts on a show no one else puts on. I just enjoyed going to see ’em and her. I would as soon go see her right now as anybody!” Porter told KFVS12.
Now the World War II veteran can add a third live performance to his list. After getting wind of his fandom, Swift visited Porter and his family and performed her hit, Shake it Off, in front of her elderly super fan prompting him to rise to his feet and dance to the tune.
