Taking a break from the big screen, Jennifer Garner was honored at the Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala for her dedication to early childhood education.
The gala took place in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Garner showed up donning a gorgeous black dress designed by a fellow star, Victoria Beckham.

Steven Sawalich of the foundation introduced the “13 Going on 30” actress and praised her gracious work.
“Her name is recognizable in the entertainment world as an award-winning performer,” Sawalich said. “She’s a talented and beautiful actress, but one of my favorite callings about Jennifer Garner is that many of you may or may know her far-reaching effect in the philanthropic world, and her passion for advocacy for early childhood education.”
An emotional Jennifer took the stage to accept her recognition, which included a big medal that she wore around her neck.
“Oh my gosh, this night. I didn’t know what I was getting into. Did you guys? ” she said. “I mean, I got a necklace, and I’ve been crying back there. It’s an honor to be here with you all; it’s an honor now especially at the end of the night to receive this award.”
