Taking a break from the limelight after his long-awaited Oscar win, Leonardo DiCaprio headed to the Sumatran Iowland rainforests in Indonesia. Bringing along his actor pals Adrian Brody and Fisher Stevens, “The Revenant” star advocated for rainforest conservation, which he continuously supports through his self-titled organization.
These are some of the only remaining ecosystems in Asia that can support Sumatran elephants, so it’s crucial for Leo’s organization to fight back against its destruction.

As part of their protest against the plantations, DiCaprio, Brody and Stevens visited Gunung Leuser National Park to support the Forest Nature and Environment Aceh campaign, which is fighting for the same cause.
“The Pianist” actor stars in a video with local children posted on the campaign’s Facebook and wrote, “Yayyy!!! Let’s not forget the sweet kids in Sumatra who deserve clean air instead of their lowland rainforests being slashed and burned to make more palm oil.”
