Though we may not have the resources to have flawless, celebrity skin or have make up artists around us 24/7, that doesn’t mean we still can’t look good. Daily, or even weekly, face peels and massages are not realistic, but the following are a few tips to keep your skin looking clean and healthy, as well as quick make up tips to give you a little glow on the go.
1) Skin care: This is number one and the main rule is one many people know, but few follow. Moisturize. Simple, right? Well, you’d be surprised how many people don’t do this daily. The first step in this is to find the right moisturizer for your particular skin. Whether you have dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, etc., but the best choice characteristics across the board, for every skin type, is always those without any fragrance added in and a good amount of SPF. Moisturize daily and this will keep your skin looking glowing and help to prevent wrinkles and skin damage.
2) Have a good base routine: Everyone’s makeup routine varies. Some do eye makeup and apply concealers/foundation last. Others prefer a more natural look with very little concealer and no foundation. While others pile it on. Whatever your routine, make sure it is helping more than hurting and that your routine is one that gives you the most flawless look possible. You never want your makeup making your face break out, and then having to use extra makeup to cover that up. This is all about trial and error, finding what fits your beauty routine best.
3) Hair routine: This one is a bit tricky. The usual tip across to board when it comes to hair/washing is simply not to over wash. It is incredibly important to allow for your scalp’s natural oils to be created, instead of constantly washing that away which can lead to dryness, cracking of the skin and flaking. It may be worthwhile to look into the newest trend that celebrities and many others are finding interesting: the “no shampoo” routine. Dirty as it may sound, the results are shocking and in a recent article of ours, we explained result of women who tried it themselves.
4) Keep it simple: At the end of the day, it’s important to (generally) keep it simple. Sticking to what’s closest to natural is very important and allows for an enhanced beauty, but not one that is overwhelming. Of course, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go all out for fun events, but speaking on a day-to-day basis, the “enhanced natural look” is the way to go. Because let’s face it, you’re all beautiful…
