Marc Jacobs is taking 2015 to a new level. Previously, fragrances by the well-known designer have always had fruity undertones, frilly colors and a fun, carefree feel to them. His newest addition to the perfume family, Decadence, is entirely different, beginning with its appearance. This particular bottle resembles a gorgeous emerald handbag paired with a gold link chain as the strap and black tassel to complete the unique packaging choice. Past faces that have represented Marc Jacobs fragrances include Karlie Kloss and Dakota Fanning, both fresh faced, innocent looking girls. This time around, the designer decided on sultry, sexy Adriana Lima, who can be seen rolling on the ground in the ad for the perfume, holding the gold link chain that connects to the bottle, in her mouth.

According to Jacobs, each of his fragrances is a different personality, a different girl. Lola is quirky and fun, while Daisy is the sweet, innocent girl and now Decadence takes the “sultry and sophisticated” title. He explained what he thinks of his newest girl and why she came to be, “I like the idea of that extrovert, that show-off, and I like the things that symbolize her – whether it’s the beads or feathers or the sequins. It’s all the trappings of the extrovert more interesting to me than they ever were before.”

The launch party took place in New York and included guests like Sofia Coppola and Kim Gordon who enjoyed performing magicians and stocking clad waitresses who served cigarettes. The evening was a success and it seems the newest Marc Jacobs fragrance was very warmly welcomed.
